Documents issued by Government authorities in India can be attested by the Embassy or Consulate of India in Thailand or South Korea only if they have been attested or apostilled by the CPV Division, Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, New Delhi.

Documents issued by Government authorities in Thailand or South Korea must be first notarized and attested by the competent local judicial authority or District Court in the respective country prior to submission at Du Digital Global – Indian Consular Application Centre (ICAC).

Application Procedure

To initiate your application process, please follow the steps below:

  3. Ensure all required documents are prepared and organized exactly as outlined in the Documents Checklist

  4. Visit the designated Du Digital Global ICAC corresponding to your jurisdiction. The complete address will be provided in your appointment confirmation letter. Please ensure you arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment.

  5. Submit your application along with the applicable fees at the ICAC counter. Fee details are available under the Fee Details

  6. You may opt for our courier service to receive your attested document(s) at your doorstep.

Note for Postal Applications:

For applicants submitting through post:

Documents Checklist for Attestation of Educational Documents (Issued by Educational Institutions in India)

  1. Fill out the online application form to generate the PDF version of the Request Form / Request Letter. 👉 Click here to fill the form
    A printed copy of the PDF must be submitted along with the other required documents.

  2. A self-attested photocopy of the applicant’s Indian passport (pages containing personal details).

  3. A self-attested copy of valid proof of residence in Thailand or South Korea (e.g., Thai House Registration Document / Korean 주민등록등본 or Residence Certificate issued by local authorities).

  4. A self-attested copy of a valid Thai Visa / Work Permit or Korean Visa / Alien Registration Card (ARC).

  5. Original pre-attested educational documents issued in India, along with a photocopy.

    • These must be attested/apostilled by the Section Officer (OI/Attestation), Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi.

  6. One recent passport-size photograph of the applicant.

  7. If the fee has been paid via bank transfer, enclose proof of payment.

Important Note:

  • All submitted documents must be self-attested by the applicant.

  • The applicant may be required to furnish additional supporting documents, if deemed necessary during processing.

  • Attestation services for educational documents are only provided if the document has been duly attested/apostilled by the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India.

  • The submission must be made at the Du Digital Global Indian Consular Application Centre (ICAC) relevant to your jurisdiction.

2. Which local documents from Thailand or South Korea can be attested by the Embassy of India / Consulate General of India?

  • Commercial/Business Documents
  • Salary Statements issued by local employers
  • Utility Bills (Telephone/Electricity etc.) issued by official authorities or companies
  • Any other official document issued by Thai or Korean Government Authorities

Important Note:
 All such documents must first be notarized and attested by the appropriate District Court or equivalent local authority before submission to the Du Digital Global Indian Consular Application Centre (ICAC).

3. What is the process for attesting a Power of Attorney (PoA)?

For Indian Nationals:

  1. Draft the Power of Attorney as per your specific requirement.

  2. Book an appointment through the Du Digital Global ICAC website, based on your jurisdiction.

  3. Visit the ICAC on the scheduled date with the following:

    • Original Indian Passport
    • Valid Thai/Korean Visa or Residence Permit (or local ID)
    • Original Aadhaar Card
    • A printed copy of the PoA

  4. Submit the application and pay the required fee (in cash or via debit/credit card). Refer to the “Fee Details” section for current charges.

  5. Sign the PoA in front of the ICAC submission officer.

  6. The document will be processed and typically returned within two working days.

For Foreign Nationals:

  1. Get the PoA notarized and attested by the respective District Court or competent authority, as per your jurisdiction.

  2. Refer to the “Jurisdiction” section for details.

  3. Book your appointment on the Du Digital Global ICAC website.

  4. Submit the application along with the required fee (in cash or via debit/credit card).

  5. Your attested document will be returned after processing, usually within two working days.

4. What is the procedure for attesting an Affidavit or Declaration?

For Indian Nationals:

  1. Prepare your Affidavit or Declaration as needed.

  2. Book your appointment via the Du Digital Global ICAC portal according to your jurisdiction.

  3. Visit the ICAC with the following:

    • Original Indian Passport
    • Valid Thai/Korean Visa or Residence Permit (or local ID)
    • Original Aadhaar Card
    • A printed copy of the Affidavit/Declaration

  4. Submit your documents and pay the applicable fee (cash or debit/credit card).

  5. Sign the document in the presence of the ICAC submission officer.

  6. Processing usually takes two working days.


For Foreign Nationals:
