General Information on Transit Visa
The Transit Visa is issued to foreign nationals whose sole purpose of visiting India is to transit through the country en route to a final destination. The visa allows a short stay of up to 72 hours in India, and is valid for entry within 15 days from the date of issue.
Note:
This visa is not extendable and cannot be converted to another category. The purpose of visit must strictly be for transit only. Any deviation or misuse may result in penalties, deportation, or visa rejection.
