The OCI (Overseas Citizenship of India) card must be re-issued under certain conditions to ensure that it remains valid and up to date with the holder’s personal and travel documents. While the OCI card is a lifelong document, it may need to be reissued once after the age of 20, or in cases of loss, damage, or change in personal particulars.

When Re-issuance is Required:
  • When a new passport is issued after turning 20 years of age (only one-time re-issuance required)

How to Apply:
  1. Create an Account:
    Register on the Du Digital Indian Consular Application Centre (ICAC) website.

      • Signature (or left-hand thumb impression in case of minors who cannot sign)

    • Each eligible individual, including minors, must submit a separate application under Section 7A.

    • After submitting the online application, print the form that includes the Online Registration Number.
