- Prepare Your Documents: Ensure that you have all your supporting documents, as listed in the “Documents Checklist” section.
- Visit the
Alankit ICAC: Go to the ICAC as per your jurisdiction. The address and location will be mentioned in your appointment letter. Be sure to arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment time.
- Submit Your Application and Pay Fees: Submit your application and make the payment at the
Alankit ICAC. Check the “Fee Details” section to know the exact fees.
- Complete Your Application Process: Once your application is submitted, you can opt for our courier service to have your attested documents delivered to your doorstep.
- Track Your Application: While your application is being processed, you can track the current stage of the process online. Click here to track your application.

Documents Checklist for Attestation of Life Certificate: Pensioners
1. Online Request Form: Click here to fill out the online form to generate the PDF of the Request Form / Request Letter. A printout of this PDF is required along with the other documents in the checklist.
2. Indian Passport: Self-attested photocopy of the first and last page of the Indian passport (personal information pages).
3. Life Certificate / Pension Order:
- Two photocopies of the duly filled Life Certificate prescribed by the concerned department of India, or
- Self-attested photocopy of the Pension Order issued by the concerned department of India.
4. German Stay Permit: Self-attested photocopy of valid German Stay Permit (Aufenthaltstitel/Visa/Personal Ausweis).
5. Current Address Proof: Self-attested photocopy of proof of current address in Germany (City Registration / Meldebestätigung / Anmeldung).
6. Fee Payment: Proof of payment of the applicable fee (if made through bank transfer).
7. Passport Photo: The applicant must bring one passport-size photo with them. All documents must be self-attested.

Note:
- The applicant must visit the ICAC to submit the application and sign the Life Certificate in front of the ICAC staff after approval from the Consular Officer of the Concerned Indian Embassy/Consulate.
- Applications via Post will not be accepted for this service.
- This is a free service provided by the Embassy or Consulates. However, applicants will be required to pay the service charges for ICAC.
Documents Checklist for Attestation of Life Certificate: Other than Pension
1. Online Request Form: Printed copy of the duly filled online application form at https://indianconsularservices.mea.gov.in/consularServices/. - The PoA will be processed and returned within two working days.
For Foreign Nationals:
