Name Change Certificate as per Indian Passport

A Name Change Certificate is issued by the Embassy/Consulate based on the particulars recorded in the Indian passport.

Eligibility:

  • You can apply only if your name has already been changed in your Indian passport.
  • The certificate will reflect the updated name as per the passport.

Note: The Embassy/Consulate will not issue a Name Change Certificate if the name change is not reflected in the passport.

Please follow the below steps to apply

  1. Register Online
    Create an account on the Du Digital Global Indian Consular Application Centre (ICAC) website.

    Schedule your appointment at a convenient date and time.

  3. Prepare Your Documents
    Ensure that you have all the required documents as mentioned in the “Documents Checklist” section.
  4. Visit ICAC
    Visit the Du Digital Global ICAC centre as per your jurisdiction. The address will be in your appointment confirmation.
  5. Be Punctual
    Reach the ICAC at least 15 minutes prior to your appointment time.
  6. Submit & Pay
    Submit your application and pay the applicable fee.

  7. Courier Service (Optional)
    You may choose our Courier Service to receive your attested Name Change Certificate at your doorstep.
  8. Track Your Application
    Stay updated on your application status.

    Self-attested photocopy of a valid South Korea Stay Permit.
  5. Address Proof
    Self-attested photocopy of current address proof in South Korea.

    If you’ve paid via bank transfer, include a printout/receipt of the payment.
  7. Photograph
    One recent passport-size photo (as per official specs). Must be brought physically during submission.
