Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) – Attestation Services
1. Which Indian documents can be attested by the Embassy or Consulate of India in Thailand and South Korea?
The following Indian-origin documents are eligible for attestation:
- Educational Documents (issued by recognized educational institutions in India)
- Indian Marriage Certificate
- Indian Passport
- PAN Card
- Indian Driving License
- OCI (Overseas Citizen of India) Card
- Any other document issued by Indian authorities
Important Note:
All of the above documents (with the exception of the Indian Passport and OCI Card) must be attested or apostilled by the CPV Division, Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, New Delhi prior to submission.

2. Which local documents (Thai/Korean) can be attested by the Indian Embassy or Consulate in Thailand and South Korea?
Documents issued by Thai or South Korean authorities, such as:
- Thai/Korean National Identity Card
- Thai/Korean Passport
- Commercial Documents
- Salary Statements issued by local employers
- Utility Bills or Telephone Bills issued by local service providers
- Any other document issued by a local authority in Thailand or South Korea
Important Note:
These documents must first be notarized and attested by the relevant local judicial authority or District Court in Thailand or South Korea before they are submitted to Du Digital Global – Indian Consular Application Centre (ICAC).
3. What is the procedure for attestation of a Power of Attorney (PoA)?
For Indian Nationals:
- Draft the Power of Attorney as per your requirements.
- Book an appointment online on the Du Digital Global website. Ensure that your appointment is scheduled with the ICAC as per your jurisdiction.
- Visit the designated Du Digital Global ICAC on the selected date and time. Carry the following documents in original:
- Indian Passport
- Valid Thai/Korean Visa or Residence Permit
- Aadhaar Card (if available)
- A printed copy of the Power of Attorney
- Submit your application and pay the applicable fees. Payment can be made by cash, debit, or credit card. Refer to the “Fee Details” section for accurate fee information.
- The Power of Attorney must be signed in the presence of the ICAC officer.
- Your document will be processed and is typically returned within two working days.
For Foreign Nationals:
- The document must be notarized and attested by the appropriate local District Court or competent authority in your jurisdiction. Refer to the “Jurisdiction” section for guidance.
- Book an appointment online via the Du Digital Global website.
- Visit the ICAC as per your jurisdiction on the scheduled date.
- Submit your application and complete the payment. Refer to the “Fee Details” for the exact amount.
4. What is the procedure for attestation of an Affidavit or Declaration?
For Indian Nationals:
- Prepare your Affidavit or Declaration according to your personal or legal requirement.
- Schedule an appointment on the Du Digital Global website for the ICAC corresponding to your jurisdiction.
- Visit the ICAC on the appointment date with:
- Original Indian Passport
- Valid Thai/Korean Visa or Residence Permit
- Aadhaar Card (if available)
- Printed copy of the Affidavit or Declaration
- Submit the application and pay the required fees. Payment may be made in cash or using a debit/credit card. Refer to the “Fee Details” section for details.
- You must sign the Affidavit or Declaration in front of the ICAC officer.
- The attested document is usually ready for collection within two working days.
For Foreign Nationals:
- The Affidavit/Declaration must be notarized and attested by the relevant court or authority within your jurisdiction.

- Attend the appointment and submit your application with payment.
